She was born and raised in Charleston, SC, and is doing her best to prove that southerners are people, too. CCourtney is a second year law student with an interest in business development and international law. Regarding new media, she has positive feelings about the participatory culture we are in, the shift away from passive consumption, and the availability of creative surplus. She believes strongly in a quote she once read: "The internet means never having to ask permission before trying something new."

Jamie is a second-year law student at California Western School of Law in San Diego, where he focuses on media and entertainment law.  Before returning to the academic fold, he worked for several years developing, repping and selling independent films in New York City, and later worked as a professional screenwriter and script doctor.  For him, promoting new art, artists and entrepreneurs has always been more a pleasure and a privilege than it has a job.  When time allows, he can be found whittling away at an ever-expanding pile of things he needs to watch, read or listen to...he also manages to sneak in the occasional surf.

She has a Film Production degree from SDSU, where she was the producer of several student films and music videos. Lauren is a self-proclaimed geek, playing video games in her limited spare time to stay sane, as well as checking up daily on game-related legal websites. She sincerely wants a puppy, but is happy to work towards the goal of passing the bar as the prerequisite for obtaining that particular reward.

Katrina loves seeing her friends and family start their own creative enterprises in fashion, makeup artistry, photography, and videography with the help of Internet and social media. She’s excited to help further other people's creative and entrepreneurial efforts through new media.
