The New Media Rights mission is to promote and facilitate a strong, non-hierarchical creative community for users of new media technology. No one should hold a monopoly over creativity, and we seek to educate creators and consumers of new media content on their fair use rights under copyright law. New Media Rights encourages the use of open-source technology and creative commons licenses out of our belief that the public benefits from less restrictive content rights.
