New Media Rights shared resources: EFF's Subpoena Defense Resources

New Media Rights has offered our services as a resource on the EFF Subpeona List. The Electronic Frontier Foundation was founded in 1990 and has fought for civil liberties and digital rights in many of the most important legal cases pertaining to freedom on the internet.

This list of attorneys around the country offers a useful resource if you have been accused of illegally uploading or downloading copyrighted works in one of the many recent lawsuits against anonymous "John Doe" internet users related to peer-to-peer filesharing.  Some of the attorneys on the list offer their services for free and others are for fee.

If you have received a subpoena outside of California, we encourage you to take a look at this list and find an attorney in your state. If you are located in California, then you can contact us to see if we can help you.
