Event Description: Information Technology and Innovation Tuesday, May 10, 2011 11:00 AM-1:00 PM Consumers have seen vast changes in the way they use the Internet. Mobile broadband, the explosion of apps, and video over the Internet are just some examples. A key question is: how are changes in the Internet marketplace translating into new business models and/or industry structures? To consider this question, ITIF is inviting a group of panelists to offer their observations on the changing marketplace. The lead presenter will be Jonathan Sallet, a partner in the law firm of O'Melveny & Myers LLC, who will discuss his new paper, "The Creation of Value: The Broadband Value Circle and Evolving Market Structures," which has been published by the University of Southern California's Annenberg Innovation Lab and can be found at www.broadbandvaluecircle.com. He will be joined by Rob Atkinson, President of ITIF, Michael Calabrese, Senior Research Fellow, Open Technology Initiative at the New America Foundation, and Jeff Eisenach, Managing Director and Principal, Navigant Economics.
