RSS makes it possible to keep up with your favorite web sites (like newmediarights.org) in an automated manner that's easier than checking manually. Basically, you get whatever you want sent to you automatically, without having to constantly go to a web page looking for updates.

RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication" and is used to publish frequently updated content such as news, blogs, or podcasts. A "feed" is an RSS document that contains either a summary of content from a web site or the full text.

RSS content can be read using software called a "feed reader" or an "aggregator" (see list below). You can subscribe to a feed by entering the feed's link into the software reader or by clicking an RSS icon in a browser that starts the subscription process. The software reader checks your subscribed feeds regularly for new content, downloading any updates that it finds.

The following aggregators are used as examples only, they are not endorsed by NMR. Also, don't forget to check out our RSS section for more info on the subject.
