Citizen Journalism and the Broadcast Media

I've started a new not-for-profit organization called SAN DIEGO MEDIA JUSTICE SOCIETY ( http://www.sdmjs.org ) to fund a Citizen Journalism Project called SAN DIEGO SPEAKS ( http://www.sddspeaks.com ) which produces professional quality audio/video media for both online and broadcast uses.

The concept is to create a low-cost entry point for those community organizations and activists seeking to inform and educate the public. We currently produce 15 minute segments of video for YouTube and Public Access TV. Our next Production Meeting and recording event is Saturday, March 5th, 2011. (see our web sites for more info)

I look forward to working with NEW MEDA RIGHTS and the Drumbeat Project to see what we come up with.

Looking forward to bringing an Organic Food Presence

Starting to formulate some ideas about an Organic Lettuce Face-Off.

Who would win the prize in San Diego for the freshest and most good looking lettuce in our City?

I suspect it is the lettuce from JR Organic.  I get it at the Hillcrest Farmers' Market.

Here is a blog I started to write about it today.

I also want to donate some compostable plates that we could use from my sponsor

Biosmart Packaging.  I am starting a project to End Styrofoam use at the HIllcrest Farmers' Market.

Here  is a Plant Your Dream Blog about that

More soon.
