New Media Rights is offering a free opportunity for you to learn to be a better citizen journalist firsthand.  If you're interested in learning more, just submit your name and email below and we'll let you know when you can go out in the field.

The art of journalism is changing daily and with the steady conversion of most news appearing online it is important that we as creators, citizens and speakers understand how to maintain the critical aspects of a good article while embracing new media tools. That's why New Media Rights has launched the Citizen Journalism Project which we want YOU to be a part of!

Investigative reporting is a vital part of journalism that must be incorporated in the process of newsgathering. For those of you who are interested in investigative reporting and strengthening your skills of creating online video content we are offering an opportunity to go out on the field with an experienced reporter and "shadow" his work.

John Mattes is an award-winning journalist who has been an investigative reporter for MGM, USA Broadcasting, ABC World News and San Diego's FOX and Channel 6 news. For a limited time you can go out with John Mattes to see him investigate numerous consumer protection issues including the deceptive practices of phone, utility, and insurance companies, as well as other consumer issues.

Contact us at studio@newmediarights.org or call us at 619-591-8870 to participate FREE!

Fill out form on this page if you are interested in being contacted about participating in this unique opportunity.
